What InvestRedFlags is

InvestRedFlags is an independent project that monitors investment ads on social media every day and documents platforms that show fraud warning signs: celebrities used without permission, fake news articles and promises of easy profits.

Why it exists

Fraudulent platforms change their names every few weeks and official warnings often arrive late. We want anyone who sees an ad to be able to search the name and find information before handing over their details or their money.

How we work

We manually review ads in dozens of countries and languages and record the date, country, impersonated celebrities and, where possible, the broker users are sent to. The details are in our methodology.

Independence

We never charge the platforms or brokers we analyse, we do not sell positions in our lists and we do not offer fund recovery services.
